At our practice, we invest in equipment that makes your appointments easier and more comfortable. Plus, thanks to our modern dental technology in Richmond, we can diagnose precisely and track your oral health conditions for more thorough care. Best of all, we’re able to include you in our treatment plans by showing you clear images of the inside of your mouth to help you make better decisions about your dental care.
We use equipment such as:
With our digital scanners, we no longer need to get impression using trays filled with messy goop. We simply use a wand to scan your mouth, making it a simple and more comfortable process for you. In addition, capturing 3-D images gives us more detailed information about your mouth to plan for your restorations. Plus, we can use this same technology to plan for your Invisalign treatment and show you a digital preview of your future smile.
One of the biggest benefits you’ll find with digital X-rays is less exposure to radiation. With digital radiography, we capture clearer images that we can enlarge to make it easier to diagnose and detect oral health problems. Plus, there’s no extra time needed to process the results of your X-ray, because it’s all digital. This also enables us to easily send the information to a specialty office, if necessary for complex treatment like certain types of dental implants.
When we need to capture a complete image of your mouth, we’ll use panoramic X-ray technology. It not only includes images of your teeth, but also your jawbone, sinuses, and temporomandibular joints. This complete picture is invaluable in diagnosing certain oral health concerns properly, including TMJ disorders and impacted wisdom teeth.
With intraoral cameras, we can take a closer look inside of your mouth to diagnosis issues like tooth decay or gum disease. We can more easily see into hidden areas with less poking and prodding. Because patient education matters to our office, we can show you what we see, so you understand our treatment recommendations. In addition, by helping you understand your oral health problem areas, it can improve your at-home oral care routine and encourage you to keep a schedule of regular checkups.
A paperless practice is more than just helping the environment, it benefits our office and our patients. Your records will include any digital impressions, digital X-rays, and panoramic X-rays we’ve taken. We can easily show you the progress you’ve made with your oral care, and it helps us develop more thorough treatment plans. Plus, we can also quickly share your information with a specialist’s office or an outside lab. For example, if we need to send impressions to an outside lab for mouthguards or TMJ oral appliances, the information is right at our fingertips.
To experience the benefits of a state-of-the-art practice, there’s no reason to look any further. Discover how our dental technology in Richmond makes it easier to be at the dentist. Call 281-944-4752 for an appointment. You can also request an appointment online.
Not at all. In fact, one of the reasons we use this technology is because it saves our practice money and, as a result, saves you money. For example, digital X-rays are easier to process and less expensive because we don’t need the extra equipment to produce traditional X-ray information. However, if you are ever concerned about costs, we’d be happy to review that with you before beginning any treatment.
Yes, the dental technology we use in our practice is completely safe. In fact, much of it is far safer than traditional methods. For example, our diigtal imaging makes it easier for us to see inside your mouth and make a more thorough diagnosis for your oral care. We use also digital X-rays which expose you to less radiation.
Even just a simple cleaning and examination uses our modern technology. We use digital X-rays to take any necessary images, usually if you’re visiting us for the first time. We also use intraoral cameras if we need to take a closer look in an area of your mouth that may need treatment. No matter why you are seeing us, we use advanced technology to make it easier for you.
We can see you as soon as tomorrow!
