Very nice dentist office here. They really do treat you like family. My routine cleaning was a very positive experience. The office is very clean and organized and all of the staff are wonderful. Dr. Powell is very thorough and easy to talk to. Erica was my hygienist for my most recent visit and honestly she is the best hygienist I have ever had. She listened to everything I explained, made changes throughout my cleaning according to areas of sensitivity and gave me great suggestions for things to try at home. She also took the time to perform a very thorough cancer screening.

Our dentists will recommend extracting wisdom teeth if they are emerging at an incorrect angle, if they don’t emerge entirely through the gums, or if there isn’t enough space for them to come in without crowding other teeth. Considering that lots of people’s wisdom teeth appear in their early 20s or late teens, this is the ideal time to remove them, if needed.
We make wisdom teeth removal as pain-free as possible by numbing your mouth with local anesthesia. You can also choose to take an oral sedative prior to your extraction to make you less aware of sensations, sights, and sounds during your surgery. Following your procedure, you may experience minor discomfort for a few days. It can often be managed with an over-the-counter pain reliever. If needed, we can provide stronger medication.
While you should feel much better within a day or two, it can take up to two weeks to fully recover. During this time you may experience mild discomfort and swelling. You can speed your recovery by avoiding smoking and alcohol and eating soft foods for the first few days. Rinsing with warm salt water also helps lessen gum tenderness and inflammation.
